Changes in Polish Business Activity Register – launch of the new system
On July 01, 2011 a new Business Activity Central Register and Information Record system (CEIDG) which is run by the Polish Ministry of Economy was launched.
The role of the new system is to considerably limit the time required to register a business activity by enabling such registration via Internet as well as to reduce the formalities connected with registration. CEIDG contains information about all entrepreneurs being a natural person and running business in Poland including information about franchises, licenses, and permits owned by them.
Basic information about the entrepreneurs are to be published on CEIDG website. Such information will be public and free of charge. Such solution will make the access to the necessary information much easier. So far in order to obtain all the above one had to apply to the appropriate Community Office (where the entrepreneur has been registered).
Access to CEIDG can be reached on www.firma.gov.pl or www.ceidg.gov.pl
